Sclerotherapy

What is Sclerotherapy?

We treat spider veins with a procedure called sclerotherapy, which involves injecting a sclerosing agent into the veins (which are actually small blood vessels). This fluid irritates the blood vessels and causes them to scar, so they become less visible. Sclerotherapy is not painful (though it may pinch or sting a little bit), does not require downtime and is very safe. Our Fairfield County sclerotherapy patients have remarked on the improvement the procedure has on their spider veins.
