Acne

Acne is a skin condition that is caused by the buildup of oil and dead skin cells plugging the hair follicles. It is most common on the face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. Not only can acne be a source of embarrassment, it can also cause permanent scarring.

Treatments

Acne treatments include topical medications, prescription oral medication (including antibiotics, spironolactone and accutane), and procedures such as chemical peels, microneedling and soft tissue fillers. Other cosmetic procedures such as treatment with soft tissue fillers and chemical peels can be used to diminish acne scars.

Eczema

The term eczema refers to any type of dermatitis or itchy rash. The symptoms of eczema include itching and redness, and in some cases, blistering, weeping or peeling.

Treatments

The goal of eczema treatments is to reduce inflammation, soothe itching and prevent additional flare-ups. Medications such as corticosteroids, antibiotics, antihistamines and immunomodulators are commonly used to treat eczema.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that causes redness and irritation in the skin. While there are different types of psoriasis, it is most commonly characterized by raised, red patches covered with a silvery-white buildup of dead skin cells. It can appear anywhere on the face or body.

Treatments

Treatments include prescription oral medications and topical treatments to at home injection therapy.

Warts

Warts are caused by the human papilloma virus and are not harmful. They most commonly appear on the hands and feet.

Treatments

Painful and embarrassing warts can be treated in several ways. Our SkinCare Physicians use a variety of technique(s) including cryotherapy, candida antigen, and cantharone.
